My Thoughts

The Vietman War is a documentary series that gives us a look at what life was like for those who fought in this terrible war. The documentary was inspired by events, and thus gives us a truly personal feel for what these people endured and how their lives were changed by war. There are several people's voices that are heard through this documentary, from men on the front lines to witnesses to lived some of the horrors first hand.  You'll experience the heartbreaking that soliders faced, strategies that were used, and even get a glimpse in the eyes of the enemy we fought.  Most of all, you'll be touched by the loss of life and how it effected so many people.

This was a fantastic documentary and an educational look at a war that cost so many lives, and ended without a real resolution. There is great historical footage included as well as excellent reenactment scenes.  In addition to the documentary, the DVD also includes bonus features like information on the making of the documentary.  All in all, an excellent addition to any documentary collection that took ten years to create. It would make a great gift for any man in your life this Father's Day.
