My Thoughts

Acorn Media is back with a second set of classic Agatha Christie book adaptions with THE BEST OF AGATHA CHRISTIE, Volume 2.  The books really come to life on the small screen. I especially enjoy seeing David Suchet as Poirot. This set includes three exciting films.

Agatha Christie's The Witness for the Prosecution - This story in set in London in the 1920s. There is a beautiful heiress named Emily French. It seems like she has it all, including love. Then, she turns up murdered and the man she loved is the number one suspect. Leonard, her lover, was the heir to her fortune, even though he already had a wife which makes him doubly suspicious.

Three Act Tragedy - A parson dies suddenly at a party along the coast. At first it appears natural but when a similar death occurs at another party, the hostess becomes a top suspect. The drama comes in when Poirot rein-acts the death on stage.

Hallo'ween Party - A young girl is murdered at a costume party and a crime novelist calls in Poirot to collaborate. It turns out the girl had been a possible witness to another murder and the pair set out to find a killer in the quaint little town.

Fans of Agatha Christie will certainly want to have this DVD set in their collection. Be sure to check out Volume 1 as well for more wonderful adaptions. You can order a copy of this fantastic DVD set on Acorn Media for only $39.99. You can also find it on Amazon.
